The caretaker was very polite and cooked is incredible dinner. If you want to do the Safari, this place is perfect. We booked a Safari with getyourguide but you can also book directly with them.

They booked a safari in Wilpattu only 1.5 days before our arrival and everything was very well organised. The safari itself was much better than expected: we had the luck to see 4 leopards, a sloth bear and 4 golden jackals, on top of many beautiful birds and reptiles. The resort provided breakfast and lunch to take on the safari, as well as snacks and drinks. Everything was very tasty and plenty. Also breakfast and dinners were very tasty and more than we could eat. All in all, we had a very good stay. Thanks so much!!!!

It's located on the edge of a wetland teeming with birds and has a raised platform for viewing or enjoying your meals. Hosts were extremely kind and attentive. I used the TukTuk service of the host on 2 days, his prices were more than fair, but more importantly, he quickly got a good read on what would interest me and made many impromptu stops pointing out things that interested me. I never felt rushed. Highly recommend, especially for bird watchers. This place lived up to its high rating score.

The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. Σε πολύ καλή τοποθεσία ακριβώς στο κέντρο του προορισμού Anuradhapura, το Golden Ray villa προσφέρει θέα στον κήπο, κήπο και βεράντα. An absolute haven close to the sacred city sites of Anuradhapura. Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

Το Water Front Home Stay and Resort παρέχει κλιματιζόμενες μονάδες με βεράντα, κήπο και κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge. Our host was very kind and friendly! He also helped us to arrange a tuktuk and wonderful guide for the ancient city. Breakfast was served very prompt and you could sit out in the garden to enjoy it. Large mineral water tank that we could use to fill our small bottles. Parking for a small car was very good, just right in the yard. And we could leave the car there after check out while we did our tour in the morning. After the tour, the host kindly offered a place in his lobby to rest before continuing our journey. The room itself was very spacious and had a nice towel rack. Air conditioning worked great and we had blackout curtains. Ensuite bathroom was clean and had good hot water and pressure. Toiletries were very simple (soap and shampoo) so would recommend to bring your own if you have a more extensive routine (facial wash, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste etc.). As we were there during the low season, our host was doing some maintenance painting work around the house. Which is a great sign and he planned it in away to make sure it didn't disturb our stay. Thanks for the great stay! 10/10 would recommend!
