The place is spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Manju the manager is outstanding and looked after our every need. He is attentive and answers to messages immediately. He cooked us a delicious lunch and breakfast and cleaned up after, we didn't need to do anything except enjoy the view, the birdsong and the lovely tranquil atmosphere.

The best place we stayed at! The room was spacious and clean. Each room has its own terrace, and there’s also plenty of seating in the beautiful garden. Every morning, we had breakfast in the treehouse overlooking the lake. Gamini and his wife are such lovely hosts. He picked us up from the train station, organized a safari and an Ayurveda treatment for us, and took us on a tour to see Sigiriya/Pidurangala Rock and the temples in Dambulla. His wife prepared delicious dinners and breakfasts for us. They always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The Wi-Fi was also good.

They even arranged a massage and a delicious homemade dinner for us, which we enjoyed under the stars. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine made with love. Every detail was taken care of, and we felt more like guests in a family home than in a hotel. We can’t thank our hosts enough for such a beautiful experience. If you’re visiting Habarana and Hurulu eco park, don’t miss the chance to stay here – it’s a hidden gem filled with warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

The breakfast was not to be missed - every aspect was meticulously prepared, resulting in a delicious and fulfilling meal. I’ve stayed at Oleena Homestay before and loved it, so I’m back again. I like the serenity of the place set among trees and plants and bird songs. And the hosts, Jeewa and Masha are wonderful people with their lovely daughter Oleena. The breakfast were sumptuous and they are able to arrange savoury lunch and dinner 😋. Masha is a great cook. 😍 The garden rooms come with your own private balcony. One may have the food at the balcony or at the nice airy dining hut. Jeewa was able to arrange trips around the area. Excellent hospitality. 😊

We got one of the newer rooms. The hosts Lieyon & Wanda are very helpful. Explained everything you need to know at the check in. We had dinner one night and was tasty. Breakfast was very good, with fruits and vegetables and a curry. Fruit juice and a choice of Tea or Coffee. The pool has a jacuzzi which was excellent to help you relax after a busy day.

It’s very rustic and simple. AC is very functional. There were a few hiccups, but the outstanding staff addressed everything immediately. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious. There isn’t a lot to do in Habarana, but it’s a great location to stay if you want to visit the cave temple, Sigiriya, Miniriya and Polonnaruwa. The first three are less than 30 mins away. Polonnaruwa was a fast hour.
