We had an absolutely incredible stay. Property is breathtaking with beautiful views on the national park. Staff is exceptional: very friendly and looking out for your every need (eg bringing wet towels right after safari, setting up a private romantic dinner). Food is wonderful and the chef was very thoughtful. Safari was expertly organized, with a knowledgeable guide and great lunch set up in the park. Could not recommend more!

Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 27 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Lovely hosts, we booked the breakfast and dinner option. The breakfast was huge, and the dinner menu had many options to choose from. It was great to come back from the safari and not have to worry about going out somewhere for dinner. I read on a post recently that someone said they had no hot water. Our bathroom had two shower heads, one was just a cold shower, the other hand held shower was connected to what looked like an instantaneous hot water system and we had as much hot water as we needed. We also booked an all day safari through the accommodation, which I would rate 10 out of 10. The vehicle was comfortable, the driver/guide spotted so many animals for us, he didn't rush around like some vehicles around us, our driver even assisted another bogged vehicle while the other vehicles around us just drove past the bogged vehicle. Seeing some of the safari Jeeps that day, some were clearly unroadworthy and with cracked windows that would have limited their clients ability to see well. If you are considering a safari I would highly recommend using a reliable service with a great reputation like this one as I would definitely not have wanted to be in some of those vehicles. PS we didn't get to see a lepord, but we did see a Sloth Bear which apparently are unusual to see at Yala normally.

Boasting views of the lake, all units in the property come with private entrance and a pool with a view. At the villa complex, every unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. I couldn’t fault this place! Everything about our stay was just amazing. The location, the atmosphere, the food and the facilities were just perfect. We had just made for us on arrival and the food was delicious. We did the dining under the stars experience for dinner and it was incredible with the best SriLanka food we had tasted during our whole trip. They organised a safari for us and gave us a tasty packed breakfast to bring too! I couldn’t recommend this place more!! The staff were incredible and went absolutely above and beyond to make our experience even better than we could have imagined.

After some time travelling I feel safe to say that you can tell the difference between people just making money of you and people who really know what they are doing and want the best for you. And Priya only wants the best for you and he will go out of his way to give you anything you want. From picking us up at the bus stop for free, coming to get us when it started raining and we were in the city, taking us to a beautiful little safari around the lake at sunset showing us lots of birds, crocodiles and bats, recommending us which buses to take from and to other destinations, to organizing the best safari we could hope for. He recommended us to do a full day in block 1 and we are really happy we took his advice. Priya works with very experienced guides and we had an amazing safari and even though it was peak season we managed to be most of the day alone and witness the park for what it is with its beauty and variety of animals. The accomodation itself is quite simple but it was more than enough for us. Nice clean room, good wifi, good AC, good food, comfortable bed. Absolutely recommend!
