Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.

Staying in these beautifully decorated, pristine, and ultra-comfortable bubbles was a dream. The breathtaking view of the desert left us absolutely speechless. The meals were delicious, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming! A special shout-out to Ruben, who made our stay truly delightful with his kindness and professionalism. A heartfelt thank you to the owner, Said, whose unmatched generosity saved us when we got stuck in the desert with our 4x4—what an amazing person! We will definitely be back. We really loved this experience! It's only us who been in camp, so we felt special. We ordered shuttle service (it's expensive given the fact that distance is small), dune bashing - it was really cool!, camel sunset ride (I agree with all reviewers that price is high for such activity) but we really loved it! Dinner was exceptional! bad is comfy and nice! Salim was our driver and we enjoyed his company (his english can be better though)

The place was well set up, with a cozy swing out front that added a charming touch. Both breakfast and dinner were decent, and the overall vibe was very welcoming. The host arranged an exciting dune bashing session and took us to watch the sunset — totally worth the extra charge! At night, you can wander off into the quiet desert, lie down, and gaze at the stars. I even spotted four shooting stars! It was truly an unforgettable experience.

I spent alot of time researching the desert camp options and chose Rashid's because it ticked all the boxes for us...small camp - only 4 tents for a more intimate experience, reasonable prices for everything, elevated tents so not on the ground with creepy crawlers, private bath inside, comfy beds, good food, good reviews of the owner host for a welcoming and enlightening experience. The stay exceeded all of my, already high, expectations. also, some camps are just barely in the desert and some are many miles in, this was a lovely distance in. Rashid made us feel like honored guests and family. He wants his guests to feel at home and was open to all questions about his homeland and culture. He taught us so much and also loved to hear and learn about our homeland and lives. The food was incredible as well. We went dune bashing to collect some of the plastic I was so sad to see in the desert by my request. He took us to see camels and there were new babies. Whoever you choose to stay with please honor the desert and collect your garbage. But don't miss the opportunity to stay with rashid! We arrived as strangers and left as honored friends!

The house is in a bit of a secluded place and offers a lot of privacy and peace and quiet. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The pool is very nice and generally the grounds are extensive and very well kept. The friendly host greeted us personally, showed us around and gave us some information about the nearby attractions.

Το Arab desert camp είναι ένα κατάλυμα με θέα στο βουνό και δωρεάν WiFi σε Al Raka. Θα βρείτε πλήρως εξοπλισμένο ιδιωτικό μπάνιο με μπιντέ και δωρεάν προϊόντα μπάνιου. The bader team is really friendly and nice And everything is ok :)
