We had an amazing night here, the camp is further out than the others which gives it a private and exclusive feeling. One of the most beautiful sunsets ever, good buffet dinner & breakfast & fire at night with the stars above was a highlight! Bathrooms are clean, just a bit smelly, I guess that is not to be avoided in a place so secluded! Bed and tent were spacious and comfortable.

Amazing hospitality of the hosts, accurate time of picking us up from the nearby village (we didn’t have an SUV), tasty dinner (grilled kebab meat was fantastic) and, of course, stunning views of the desert and breathtaking star-spangled sky above. Thank you for your warm hospitality and hopefully we’ll come back once.

The camp is exceptionally located in an isolated area so you really feel like you are in the middle of the desert The staff was very helpful, especially getting to camp with our underpowered 4x4 and very friendly Food was fantastic and we definelth recommend having dinner and experiencing the campfire show where you get to listen to bedoin stories, watch traditional dancing and music as well as some surprises. We stayed for 2 nights and during the day went to Wadi Bani Khalid since it can get very hot in the desert. Totally worth going here.

From the moment we booked, we received clear and consistent communication about the arrangements for our stay in the dunes. We were picked up at the said location (easy to find) and the two brothers that runs it made us feel at home, they ensure that we were comfortable and also offering tea and snacks. We had dinner on the location, it was very good and they ensure the menu was according to our food restrictions and preference.

Camping in the desert was one of the most amazing experiences during our holiday in Oman. The campsite is set in an incredible landscape (for a visitor from Central Europe). The hospitality introduced us to Omani cuisine and the people are very friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Το Nomadic Desert Camp βρίσκεται σε Al Wāşil. Στον χώρο του καταλύματος προσφέρεται ιδιωτικός χώρος στάθμευσης. Προσφέρονται πετσέτες και λευκά είδη. The camp was very welcoming, comfortable and cosy. We arrived in the late afternoon, in time to join a ten minute walk to see the sunset from the dunes nearby, with dates and coffee. All the staff was very kind and accommodating. The food at dinner and breakfast, buffet style, was plentiful and delicious. The huts are cleverly built to let a breeze come through. Each individual hut feels private, but you can also enjoy the communal area and fire pit throughout the day. The shared facilities (toilet, sinks and showers) are clean and not busy (good ratio for the number of guests). You can book activities with the camp, such as camel walks. There was good communication with the camp ahead of time to arrange transfers to/from the camp. We highly recommend stopping there for a night to discover life in the desert.
