It was the most amazing couple of days after a week+ of walking and hiking we wanted a couple of days to chill and relax before flying home. Our room opened onto a terrace with our own table and chairs for breakfast and dinner and in front of the garden gate opened onto the most beautiful beach you could imaging. What's not to like! Breakfast was awesome and we asked for dinner on both nights which was equally awesome. The owners are super nice, relaxed people and the room was lovely with a large bathroom ... we absolutely loved it!

We received a lot of information about La Reunion and precious tips for our hikes and drives. We spent two evenings together over dinner where we were introduced to fresh, outstanding local cuisine which we truly welcomed after our long days out exploring.

The views from this route are astoundingly beautiful, but it took me the whole day to go there and back (and I woke up at 5!). You don't need to go all the way to Mafate though and you will still get a gorgeous walk. When you are back the Jacuzzi will be waiting for you.
