The room may have been a little smaller than some of the places we'd stayed on our trip, but it was very comfortable and homely and was in a lovely timber house in a beautiful setting with a lovely breakfast room and lounge area. The host was very welcoming and made a delicious breakfast which was included in the price (unlike most places we stayed), making Black Bear Manor also very good value for money, as well as being one of the nicest places we stayed in during a 3-week trip. Wholly recommend it.

The property has a nice creek out back with chairs. They even had a portable highchair, playpen and some toys. We used the playpen and it was so nice to stay somewhere with one provided. They also had toddler sippy cups and utensils in the kitchen. Really anything you could think of they had it provided.

The bathroom was a standout feature, with a huge shower that comfortably fits two—a luxurious touch that we thoroughly enjoyed. The bedroom was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of storage to keep everything organized. The bed was super comfortable, providing the perfect night's sleep, and we loved having an office desk available for catching up on a few tasks. The living room was thoughtfully designed, blending style and comfort effortlessly. The beautiful wooden dining table added a touch of elegance, making it a great spot for meals and gatherings. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, making meal preparation a breeze. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the mountains from both the kitchen and living room. We also loved the nice terrace, which was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee while watching the sunrise. Hermosa Hideaway truly felt like a home away from home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
