The location is a short distance out of town and away from any noisy roads so it was pleasantly quiet, a great view from the Apartment, nicely furnished and comfortable. We could go for a great hike further up the mountain, quick and easy and the host was very friendly and helpful with additional guidance.

Everything was amazing. We were a bigger group and had the two rooms with a big common terrace and the apartment. One of the rooms had two bathrooms (one was huge) which was a great asset for us as a familly with many kids. The view from the terrace was very nice. The apartment was very big too, with nice and well equiped kitchen (just one bathroom). All the rest of the house can be enjoyed: a good kitchen, a cozy living-room, considered as common spaces. Close to the city center… good breakfast… comfortable beds…and the host very nice and welcoming.

Don't let the name put you off. There is a small, tidy butcher shop on the ground floor but most of the multi-story house has been turned into a B&B, including a spacious breakfast room and a lovely outdoor patio with lots of seating and potted plants. The room was tastefully painted with a soothing sage green, and the hallways and common areas are decorated with antique books and various shop paraphernalia, such as an old cash register, to add visual interest. The breakfast was very tasty, with freshly made fruit salad and local cheeses and meats. The hostess is dedicated to the hotel and her guests. Entrance is easy after hours with the lockbox. Outside, there's a small passage that will lead you to the other side of the tracks, so you can reach the lakeside promenade in less than five minutes.

Sonia and her family are wonderful and caring hosts. They make you feel as if you have come to visit friends. It is very clean and comfortable. 1) Sleeping: You can choose where you want to sleep - on a sofa bed (very comfortable) or on a mezzanine (not really suitable for very tall people, and I think it might be too hot there in summer). 2) Location: Fantastic, very close to the bus stop (1 min) and 5 min to Minusio station and the lake. What more could you want? You also have access to bicycles. To sum up: I think this is a great place to stay, especially if you are travelling alone and appreciate contact with your hosts during your trip. If you like animals, you can pet the cat or watch the rabbits frolicking in the garden.

The friendly and warm hospitality - I feel genuinely welcomed; location - easy access, in the middle of the village, quiet; well-maintained charming historic building; very nice (single) big room with a generously sized and comfortable bed, the room has a nice balcony; wonderful service - Ticino ticket provide free use of public transport with the canton, local tips; at least three really good restaurants in the village. Intragna itself is a good base for exploring this romantic and dramatic area
