The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We had room number one and woke up with an amazing view onto the alps so close you can almost touch them. The kitchen is really well equipped. We picked up some supplies for breakfast. Instant coffee, sugar, salt, herbal teas were already there in abundance. Plus they sell local cheese directly from the kitchen fridge. Also, when we left, I had forgotten my purse! The owner came running after us (a good 500 m) to bring it to me! That's what I call SERVICE!

Hotel Bellevue is located on the northern edge of Wengen, about half a kilometer from the train station. Wengen can only be reached by train or by walking from Lauterbrunnen. Although Hotel Bellevue is not located in the center of Wengen, its location is probably the best in the whole village, as my balcony had great views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. If necessary, the hotel will pick you up from the train station. The hotel is quiet and clean. The rooms are basic, for example there was no TV, but you come here for outdoor exercise, not to sit in a hotel room. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hostess had even learned many Finnish words and phrases, which was nice and showed dedication. Since I wanted to do one more hike after check-out, I was allowed to leave my luggage at the hotel for several hours. The hotel restaurant served excellent food, so it never occurred to me to go looking for other places to eat. I especially want to recommend the Swiss traditional dish, rösti. Hotel Bellevue is one of the best places I've ever stayed - and I've stayed in many. And 12 points go to - Hotel Bellevue.

Definately I liked the location of the place. Murren is a picturesque village in the mountain with nice gift shops and cafes. It was pleasure to spend time there and we would like to come back one day. Although it is no car zone and the only way to get there was by car cable and train, it was worth staying there. Nevertheless, travelling to the hotel this way was an enoyable adventure :) The staff was really helpful and supportive. Regarding alimentation, the restaurant in the hotel was brilliant. We had dinner and breakfast with the amazing mountains view. The dishes were delicious and made with heart. We reccomend this place with no hesitation.

Lovely modern room in a new annexe of the guesthouse. Excellent walk-in shower in large bathroom. Great views from the balcony. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Breakfast room is also in the recently renovated part of the guesthouse, so everything looks brand new. This is our first time to stay at this guesthouse, although we have eaten in the restaurant many times on previous visits to Mürren. We hope to return next year

    The hosts and staff were universally warm and inviting, interested in people and actively worked to ensure our enjoyment of the local environs. The breakfast quality and variety were superb. Dinner was fantastic - they accommodated one of us as a vegetarian (and grow some veggies themselves on the property). The premises were spotlessly clean. The location was excellent, beautiful views and very quiet with a variety of lounges and facilities. The building is a non-commercial type setting in an older style which we appreciated.

    The location of the property in relation to both the station and shops was excellent. The size of the rooms and garden meant that there was plenty of space for us as a family. The flat is excellently equipped. The rental company staff were friendly and quickly dealt with an issue we had with the shower. Being able to drop in and see them to discuss was easy and helped get the issue resolved.

    Hotel was very clean and quiet. Beds very comfortable, breakfast selection options very good (scrambled eggs were the best I've ever tasted). Staff were very polite and helpful with information and provided any additional supplies if needed. The views from the hotel are quite stunning. Location gave good access to a variety of walking trails in the area. We hope to return to Wengen in the future and would choose to stay in Hotel Alpenruhe for sure.
