Christelle and Jean-Etienne gave us a very warm welcome to Chateau d' Argentonesse and the Josephine Tower. We had a delightful few days in the Josephine Tower to celebrate my birthday, we only wished we had booked for longer. The property is surrounded by extensive gardens and has a beautiful pool for relaxing. The Chateau is very well positioned for touring the Dordogne River region, and the many picturesque medieval towns are only 20 minutes' drive away. We would highly recommend Chateau 'Argentonesse for your holiday. Christelle and Jean-Etienne should be commended for the amazing results to the renovations to ensure this beautiful property is preserved for future generations and visitors. Lovely quiet location featuring an exceptional Gite/chambre de hotes with very attentive hosts. We enjoyed being able to eat on site and Pascal’s culinary delights were outstanding both at breakfast and our evening meals. Such a variety and excellent quality.

This is a stunning place to stay if visiting La Roque Gageac or neighbouring areas. The grounds are beautiful, lovely pool area, all overlooking the river. The rooms are outstanding, large and beautifully appointed, all Clarins products in the bathroom, super comfortable bed. The owners are delightful and so welcoming. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had. A definite must stay.

We rented the entire house at La Source and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The bedrooms each have an en-suite and are very luxurious. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you might need. Outdoors there were many options for places to sit and the children loved the pool. The hosts were very welcoming and available if needed but the space was also very private. I hope we can come again!

The staff at this charming hotel were incredibly welcoming, and the location is stunning! From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in a sense of relaxation and beauty. Our room was situated not in the main building (the castle) but in a lovely annex. It was quiet at night, which is very important to me. The room was spacious and cozy, with tea, coffee, and water available for free. We dined at the restaurant inside the Domaine; the food was good, though in my humble opinion, not exceptional. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance. The beautiful breakfast room, located inside the castle, offered a great variety of choices. The garden and the view are stunning, with swimming pools located in various spots. Having visited many hotels in Dordogne during my stay, Château de Monrecour was definitely my favorite. I hope to have the chance to go back soon.
