We really enjoyed our stay – the owners are very kind and friendly, the room is beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this place to everyone and will be happy to stay here again when traveling to or from the south of France.

The hosts were amazing! We just finished a 140 km bike ride and arrived very exhausted. Rick was kind enough (without us asking for it) to reserve a table for the two of us at a restaurant (also very good). They did an excellent job rebuilding the house and it’s designed very tastefully. If I’ll ever Comeback to Melay I’m going to stay here!

De accomodation is beautifully located in the backyard of the main house, and is spacious, very clean and comfortable. We are cyclists and were very pleased that the host could take care of the dinner and the breakfast. All was done very carefully, with good taste and with high standard. The host and her husband were very friendly and willing to help. The village Vitrey sur Mance is located in the valley of the small river La Mance, which is very nice to cycle.

This hotel was a nice surprise. When we arrived, we discovered that it was under reconstruction, but a room was ready for us and no noises disturbed us during the stay. In the room, we were happy to discover a brand-new shining shower and other newly installed equipment. A british-style 2-tub sink was a bit of surprise, but it did not bother us. The room was fine and big enough, the bed was comfortable, and all was nice. All was very clean. The stuff was super-friendly, especially the hotel owner was nice to us. And the breakfast!! It was superb! I’d stay there again for the breakfast alone. All in all, it’s an extremely nice place with excellent breakfast, very well suited for and warm-welcoming cycling or hiking travellers. It’s a real gem on the road! Maybe the only thing that we'd recommend to add would be a door or at least a curtain separating the toilet from the room. Even though there is sort of a wall, it feels... unusual. Probably it's in the reconstruction plans...

    The location of the B&B is romantic and quiet - in the midst of hills and plains. Breakfast was really good (the croissant was absolutely delicious). You had small portions of everything - savory and sweet. Coffee was excellent. The hosts (Alex and Rick) are incredibly warm and polite. Although i arrived really late in the evening they prepared everything and a-waited. Really kind people - they turned a country house into a pleasant B&B with a very warm feeling.

    The location in Melay is brilliant on a small square with minimal passing traffic, the ambience of both the outside space and inside is very ecclectic and well considered. The room was spacious with all amenities and well furnished and designed. The hosts were very welcoming and extremely friendly. A very happy place.
