I loved the location of the property about 10/ 20 minutes drive from most of the historic sites we wanted to see. The house is about 10 minutes drive outside Stromness in a very quiet location, by a quiet roadside. The owner Simon was so friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and he responded to our requests for information immediately. The house has everything you need and was comfortable, warm and spotless and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property. Love Orkney and thank you Simon for all the info and suggestions for spectacular walks, we even saw puffins at Brough of Birsay and enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Standing Stones Hotel listening to the Birsay boys play in the folk festival! Hope to return one day to explore the islands further.

    Great compact apartment. Everything was very clean and convenient, and well supplied. The location was very good for both the neolithic sites and Kirkwall. There is a good supermarket in Kirkwall (10 minutes by car). There are some nice walks for the evening, and the parking is easy. The Wifi worked well, and the washer is modern and easy to use. This was a good break from B&B allowing us to eat more lightly and save some money.

    This accommodation is set in a quiet location but only 2 minutes walk from the main road that has a regular bus service to Kirkwall, Stromness and Skara Brae. This is a comfortable, clean and homely bungalow. Ideal for a few days to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Islands. Our host was always available if required and the cream tea that awaited us was most welcome and a lovely touch.
