We loved Anemes, the location is quiet on the edge of town, with wonderful views! Our room was really lovely and the deck provided a nice space for breakfast. Breakfasts were really good with a large selection and great service.

We had the family apartment, which had complete privacy with a separate entrance and terrace on the corner of the building. That added to our feeling of comfort and even luxury, on top of the overall location of the hotel which is perched on the hillside overlooking the sea. Overall, the rooms and the hotel were in an excellent condition and some aspects seemed freshly renewed (like mosquito nets at the windows and the window shutters - essential in that climate). The hotel is however not a luxury 5 star residence. It does not have a swimming pool or staff serving you on your deck chair. But we were looking for a quiet, serene location where we could unwind and enjoy the sea and nature around us, and that is exactly what we got. A quiet beach was within short walking distance and the two tavernas of the hamlet were all we needed for dinners. There is also a nice hiking trail starting right underneath the hotel, leading to the light house at the top north cape of the island and to another beach. For the rest, a car is needed to reach out to other parts of the island, as there is no public transport available. The staff was friendly and helpful, though we did not interact much since we had our private space and did not really need much. However, whenever we requested something - like clothes hangers that were missing in the wardrobe, we got assisted right away. Moreover, Dina at the reception went out of her way to send us to Belgium the smartwatch that our daughter forgot in the room. The cleaning staff found it and Dina alerted us even before our daughter realised she missed it. That was really appreciated and certainly not quite the standard. (My husband forgot last year his e-reader in a big fancy hotel, but nobody bothered to help us find it.) Overall, we loved the island, which has a very good mixture of nature, historical sites and beaches, with good tourism infrastructure without being overly crowded. We're sure to go back.

A great place set in rural,quiet and peaceful surrounds. Greeted at midnight by Manolois and Victoria due to the usual Booking .Com poor directions. Offered tea/coffee. Accommodation spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything provided for a great stay. Manolis gave me good info regarding the local hot spots to visit plus eating at a great taverna in nearby Livadi. Sad to leave on my short stay there!

The family are fantastic from the warm welcome, information and out of this world home made breakfast. Stella is up at 5.30am to get things ready with freshly made pastries, cakes, souffle and home made bread. The place is spotlessly clean and friendliness exudes. Cannot recommend highly enough.

very easy - met the host at the port and followed them to the apartment. Host is super friendly and an awesome knowledgebase of where to go and where to eat. Apartment is in a nice quiet area with a great view to agia pelagia beach. Comfy beds, and the room was getting cleaned daily which is just amazing. All windows have mosquite net which come in very usefull and the ac helps on the super hot days. Parking right outside the apartment.Thank you and will definately be back.

Although not the most popular town I found it very conveniently and centrally located The village had all one needed, beaches, trails, one wonderful seaside taverna, a nice general store selling pies and a cafe on the beach The owners were delightful and charming and it would easy to come across and sit with them at the taverna. A family member, Panos, rents cars making this almost a full package deal!

Loved the location. Close to the most ideal swimming areas. Molly the manager and her team were amazing… friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and tidy . The gardens were even attended daily. Diakofti is a good location for seeing the rest of the island. Will hope to return to this very cool spot again!
