Well this place had so much good reviews, and here I am, count me in! Amazing facility in the nature. So well thought, finding charger next to hammock, and a massage place? And seperate wifi for different areas? I give you 10.5/10 Alice! The owners are such good people and very thoughtful. Lots of francophone visits there, feels like a European Sanctuary. If you miss good pasta or quality pancake and delicious deserts, this place is for you.

This charming hotel is located in northern Guatemala’s Petén Jungle, on the shores of Lake Petén. It offers fantastic trips to the Mayan Ruins of the Tikal National Park.

The facilities are very well kept and staff go above and beyond to make your stay in the hotel and experience in Peten a trip to remember. Kevin Guerra from the reception orgsnized fantastic tours for my family, the service providers were excellent.

Santiago is a fantastic host who knows a lot about the area and really takes time for his guests. The staff is super helpful and kind. The room was really comfortable and big. The location in the garden of the hotel is brilliant and offers a lot of privacy. In addition, it is often possible to observe and listen to the animals crossing the garden. We had an amazing time!

From start to finish our hosts Milvia Pineda and Dethlev Cordts had thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Fresh coffee, water, washing facilities, kitchen utensils, travel wash were all on hand. Great balcony area with stunning views. They had thought of everything. We decided to stay an extra day as it was so nice! Close to Tikal without the hustle and bustle of Flores. Made us feel like part of the family. On our last night the ladies cooked us fresh fish dinner with a bottle of wine. Great walk nearby at the Biotope. Can't recommend enough! There is a walk up a little hill to get there so bear this in mind! Well worth it for the sunsets swinging in the hammock! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ladies!

Good free breakfast. Great food and drinks overall. Wifi worked in my room (203). Nice view. AC was a big plus. Room was spacious. They provide water that you can get refilled in the dining area. Friendly staff. They do money exchange there as well (same rate at Belize border). Great value for price. Lots of birds on property with walking trails.

Facing the seafront in Flores, Posada Don Julio has a private beach area. The property features lake and garden views. The rooms have a balcony with views of the mountain.

Posada Don Julio is a fantastic place to stay, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The house is practically on the water, creating a serene and unique atmosphere. The family running the posada is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. It’s important to note that the house is not located in Flores itself but on the opposite side of the lake. To get there, you’ll need to take a small local boat that runs every five minutes for just 10Q. This adds an extra touch of charm and adventure to your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While the WiFi is typical for Guatemala—not very strong—it’s enough for basic needs around 5-6 Mbps Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the lake and the warmth of local hospitality. Highly recommended!
