We stayed at this house near Sceine Bay for a family trip and absolutely loved it. The house really blew us away. If you love to cook, this place is a dream come true with all the kitchen gear you could ever need. We ended up making some great family meals right there, just enjoying the space and the amazing view. Another amazing thing about the house is all the books. No matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone, from Joanne Harris and David Gemmell to Tolkien and more. The location is absolutely beautiful, tucked away in a really scenic part of the bay. We spent a lot of time just taking in the views or heading out to explore. There’s so much nearby to check out, like Helen’s Bar, Derreen Gardens, the town of Kenmare, and the Boathouse Restaurant. We never ran out of things to do or places to eat. Honestly, this house made our trip. It’s the perfect spot if you want to relax, cook great food, or just enjoy good books with family. We’re already talking about when we can go back here, we're regulars of Cork and Kerry. Highly recommend!

Was passing through kenmare on friday 08th of sep 2023, and I said I'd look up accommodation just to see was there something within budget, and was delighted to see Failte Hostel open again as I hadn't being in kenmare for about three years. As I just flow with life now, and the price for three night so reasonable, I decided to book in for three nights. Lovely family run hostel and welcomed with a smile, stayed in sparkling clean 8 bed mixed dorm, spacious shared shower and bathroom facilities with were spotless, with beautiful warm running at all times of the day. Perfect Location just at the top of Hendry Street, If your like me and your looking for somewhere to just lay your head and shower as you go on your adventures around Kerry and West Cork your in an ideal location as a base. Hope this hostel gets all the support it deserves to continue trading in these times we're in, As a hostel is of huge importance in this central location for access to travelling around Kerry & West Cork. Self catering delighted with food provided, location was lovely as house was very quiet and views were lovely. We loved the comfortable beds and pillows had a brilliant night sleep, the bedroom downstairs was ideal for my disabled mother. The shop in Kilgarvan catered for our needs and we enjoyed walking around Kenmare which is in close proximity.
