- Very charming ryokan conveniently situated within walking distance from the JR Nanokamachi station and in close proximity to attractions like the Noguchi Hideyo Seishun Street and the Suehiro Sake Brewery. - The meals (dinner and breakfast) were the highlight of my stay. Having told the staff in advance that I had food allergies, they went above and beyond to servemeals for me that were safe for me to eat but also very delicious. The variety of dishes served was impressive. The staff also offered to create onigiri (rice balls) out of my unfinished breakfast. - The staff were very warm and accommodating and their interactions with guests contributed to the ryokan's very homely atmosphere. As a thoughtful gesture they gave me an akabeko keychain upon checkout as a souvenir - The private hinoki bath was a delight (note: you have to book it in advance during check-in) - The futon in my room was exceptionally fluffy and I slept really well

Staying here even for one night was very nice. Gina helped us find our bus the next day as soon as we arrived, our room was heated and very nice with a balcony, the kitchen was well equipped and had tea to make yourself. At the reception there was food from sandwiches to sweet things prepared by Gina's mom, very delicious, recommended. Good hall to watch movies or plan your trip ! Definitely recommend this place. Nothing else in the area was available due to public holiday, but luckily for us, a room was available here for one night. We were picked up at the train station and taken to the lodge. We came late, so dinner for the other guests were already planned, but they fixed dinner for us as well, including starter and a dessert. Sake tasting was also available. After dinner, we enjoyed a hot bath (separate for M/F). In the morning, we enjoyed a Japanese breakfast. Great food, wonderful staff. Thank you all for the warm welcome at your lodge.

Shioda San the owner was a very kind man. He introduced us diligently to the attractions around Aizu Yanaizu and also to the best restaurant to eat. He also offered to send us to the train station at 6.30am. The open air onsen at the roof top was one of the best during this trip
