The property is a historic building in an interesting residential area located near the Hikone Castle and old town district. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming host. It felt very special to stay here in our cozy Japanese style room.

Overall perfect stay. I like smaller places so instead of more days in Kyoto we went to Hikone. It was very much worth it and very pleasant stay in Ryokan and very good breakfast and dinner served by the host made it.

Fantastic location right across from entrance to castle with great views from rooms on the castle side - it was especially fun to see the castle lit up at night from our room. Walking distance to everything. Lovely staff. Large buffet breakfast with Japanese and western options. Spa services were outstanding.

Very close to Yumekyobashi road and the Hikone castle, and near a 7/11. The place is very comfortable and doesn't lack anything, and Jose is an exceptional host. The communication with him before arrival was flawless, and he was very helpful during our stay. If I'm ever back in Hikone I will 100% stay here again.
