House was in a good location close to restaurants and supermarkets. About a 7 minute walk to train station. Everything was lovely and clean and beds were comfortable. It was well equipped. Communication was very good with host and instructions for gaining key access were easy to follow.

One of the best place I've stayed on Shikoku. The whole building, including the coffee shop, is really beautiful. There is even a roof terrace with a nice view of the small fishing port. The owner is an amazing person ! She is really welcoming, speaks excellent english and is really interesting to talk to. You can see she really cares. I highly recommend!

The old house was built in the early 1900s, by a rich merchant and it has probably not changed since then except electricity/modern bathroom and the addition thousands of poetry books. You fell you are travelling back in time, giving you a taste of an old Japanese house atmosphere and a glimpse of the personality of the people who lived there. It such a valuable experience to stay in an old house. The second floor room is exclusively for you to enjoy, with toilets, sink... The room is very spacious and relaxing. The garden and interior are lovely. The amenities are much more modern than the house! The area is also such a lovely surprise, an old quiet harbour being kept alive through small tea/coffees/restaurants. Arrive early during the day, and enjoy the walking tour on the map given by your hosts. It is a mix of old and new houses for inhabitants looking for authenticity, quiet & peace. Most of all you want to support the immense work done by the hosts Maiko and Yoshi, who put their heart and sweat in keeping this beautiful typical house to its wonderful glory. Maiko speaks some English so it is easier for the communication.

Loved the room and comfy beds. Had enough space for both of our small suitcases and bags. Didn’t use the shower room as we went to the onsen multiple times. Just loved the natural hot spring baths, there was an outdoor one as well. Do note that they have a strict NO TATTOO policy.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT 😍🫶🏻 The staff was insanely nice and helpful, the housekeeping staff were also doing an awesome job every day. The room was equipped with everything you needed, and you got a bottle of water every day 😍 If you don't need your room cleaned every day, you get a payback at the end of your stay. I mostly enjoyed the hotel intern Onsen for both male and female 🧖‍♀️ The hotel is also equipped with vending machines, but also offers free coffee and refreshments in their beautifully designed lobby! Since the hotel is right next to Okaido Shopping Street, you're quick at Matsuyama Castle, Dogo Onsen and also the City Station. I enjoyed my stay to the fullest! 🥰🙏🏻✨️ 100% PERFECT! You'll see me again 😋🌻
