I had the best time at The Well so I came back here 4 times during my trip!! The owners do the most to ensure a great stay. It is not a party or super social hostel but the atmosphere is super laid-back and together with the beautiful pool area, it is the perfect place to relax. The price for the dorms is very reasonable as they are very clean, the beds are very comfortable and have curtains. I have met the best people at this place and would always come back here. The accommodation is absolutely wonderful. Each cottage is tucked away in a lush cinnamon plantation, offering guests complete privacy and a serene atmosphere. The cottages are impeccably clean and air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable stay. The location is peaceful, just a 10-minute walk from the beach. Initially, we booked for just one night, but after experiencing this place—by far the best of the seven accommodations we stayed at in Sri Lanka—we decided to extend our stay. The host is exceptionally warm and attentive, making sure every guest feels welcome. Breakfast is another highlight, as the host thoughtfully prepares whatever guests desire, whether it's a traditional local dish or something more familiar.

Janaka and his staff let us feel really at home. We had the suite with a private balcony. The room was spacious and beautiful decorated. The food was delicious and because there are only 4 rooms, you must order the food in advance. We went to a beautiful Full Moon ceremony at a temple nearby. This was a very special experience.
