We had a wonderful stay at the home stay. The owner helped us with everything and was really kind. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The rooms are also very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone.

The views and the building itself are stunning, a real wow factor! The pool is over the track and down some steps, it’s breathtaking turning the corner and seeing that view. The food was great, and the service also amazing. The property is 16km from the centre of Kandy- this was perfect for us as we were looking for quiet and relax. It would be easy for the hotel to assist in a car or tuk tuk for you. The house is high, the drive is beautiful. Our driver made it in our minivan but I was a little nervous… it’s not an easy road. But nothing that’s unusual for Sri Lanka to be honest!The hotel does have a tuk tuk and they can assist with collecting you from the bottom of the hill so you will be able to reach it. It was just a bit of a shock for us as we hadn’t realised how high up it was. Totally worth it though! Thank you so much your amazing hospitality I’m so glad we found The Grove.

The location of this cabin is quite far from the main town, but for good reason, as the view from up here is amazing! When we arrived at the cabin, Roshan our host, was there to welcome us and show us the beautiful cabin space. Two rooms with king sized beds, and at the attic there were another two king sized beds. In total, it was possible to sleep 8 people. Needless to say, it was so spacious and comfortable for my group of 3. As we were hungry by the time we reached the cabin, Roshan offered to order food delivery for us and we all had some chicken rice with vegetables for our dinner which was great after a long day of traveling by car. The cabin space has very accessible balconies where you can watch the sunrise from, and at the attic you could even watch them from the bed or sofa if you wished. There are staircases to climb here, but the team was able to help us with our luggage no problem. The whole space is quite self contained, with a working kitchen, hot water in the bathroom, and enough blankets to keep us warm throughout the night. We also had a very tasty breakfast and they were able to accommodate to my diet (gluten free and dairy free). We also had fresh flowers in every room, which is a beautiful touch! All in all I would highly recommend this hotel because it is a unique spot located at a secluded location which gives you privacy, and amazing views.

Room was spacious, clean, well-designed, and had a very nice view. Located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but still close enough to the city centre. Owner was very kind and helpful.
