This is a brand new villa, very nicely decorated & comfortable. Surrounded by nature, you can spot many birds! The hosts are very nice, plus you can do safari with Leel and it's THE BEST! Really, we had an exceptional tour with him, skipped the crowds, and sunrise by the lake (no other jeeps!) was 👌🏻👌🏻 100% recommended!

It was the best stay in Sri Lanka but not the most expensive. Everything was clean, new, well mentained and functional. The host picked us up at the bus stop when we arrived and droped us off for free to another further junction when we left. When we went to our room, they already made the tea waiting for us. Also we had 2 bottles of water. Hot shwer worked well. For this price it was really like a true 4 star hotel. The room design was simple and elegant. Even though there was no air con, yhe night was cool. We really enjoyed this place! We booked the safari tour as well :) We had to leave earlier so we didn't take the lunch there. (USD 7 per person by the way)

Everything at Amba Kola was exceptional - especially the people. Louise, Janik, and Janik’s whole family are the loveliest people you will meet. The food is fantastic - everything is locally sourced and prepared with the finest spices and lots of love (Janik’s mom is an award-winning cook by the way). At Amba Kola the hosts will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They took us around in their safari jeep to see the elephants and wildlife and we even went swimming in the canal! The room (and the whole property) are lovely with so many personal touches to it. Louise is an artist and her art is present all over the place! Also, the outdoor bathroom is unique. I showered in the dark under the stars - an experience like no other. All I can say is: Come to Amba Kola and see for yourself. These people deeply care for what they do and it shows in every aspect. You won’t be disappointed!

The staff were lovely. The pool was the most clean and nicest we have been in. It was very peaceful. The rooms were very modern and clean. They were very attentive and able to make changes to meals for dietary reasons. Would recommend 10/10.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was big, very very clean a very nice and helpful host. Very clean bathroom also with a good shower (hot and cold). The food was delicious and we had the safari from the guesthouse. They also arranged a taxi to Ella for a reasonable price.

    Location is lovely with a range of birds, monkeys and even fish in the little river. Rooms are huge and the biggest we have stayed in in Sri Lanka despite being he cheaper price of the rooms. Food was really good and overall the best value for money that you will find in Sri Lanka. It was a lovely extra touch for the manager to give us the leaving gift and extend our check out time to later in the day so we can do the safari and have time to freshen up.

    A peaceful location, ideally placed for visiting the Natural Park. The team who work there are incredibly helpful - special mention to Chanaka and chef Shamika, but they were all good. Rooms were spotlessly clean, food was good and the pool was very welcome.

    We loved everything about Nature House. The staff were incredibly friendly and service-oriented. The rooms and general facilities were spotless. The location was ideal and the food delicious. It was quiet and we enjoyed seeing sunbirds, leafbirds, koels, tailorbirds, and many more bird species while eating meals. And with all this the price was very reasonable. Their safari service to Udawaldawe was excellent with a driver who had a great eye for birds and natural history and good knowledge.

    The room was lovely with a small balcony overlooking a field. It was very clean & the bed was comfortable. It was ideal location for visiting Udawalawe safari park. We saw several elephants opposite the hotel entrance behind the security fence.
