I stayed in the wooden house one night before and one night after my trek to Choquequirao and it was perfect! The room was great, and the bed was comfy and warm. There was a warm shower and the breakfast was good - lots of eggs with bread and jam - at flexible times. The host, Elizabeth, went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable and answering my questions even before I arrived. On the way to Cachora she personally came to pick me up from Ramal de Cachora, and on the way back managed to coordinate three taxis for me to get back to Cusco during a national strike. Thank you!

The hotel has comfortable and warm beds, a nice deck with a view to relax on, a garden and a rustic design that suites the mountains. The wifi worked well and the hotel was clean. The caretaker Miguel was very friendly and happy to share information about the area and trekking options. He is also a great chef and prepares all the meals, using plenty of local ingredients.
