Excellent communication between us and the host, the apartment is very clean and well kept! The pantry is filled with useful items, from spices, rice and spare water, they really thought of everything. Great service with setting up a moped rental and transfer to the port. Frankly an excellent experience.

Whenever I travel, I try to find places that feel like a “home away from home”. That’s exactly how I felt here :) The house is very comfortable, with a great Internet connection, and well located to discover both sides of Bohol (the incredible nature in the interior of the island and the beaches+fun in Panglao) with a motorbike. Walking distance you can also find nice places to eat and enjoy the sunset. The best part, however, was the great attention of Trini and Helen - which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and took the time to share with me stories about their lives. If you have been traveling for a while and you are starting to feel homesick, this is your best choice to stay in Bohol!

Riu is special! It’s located close enough to the island hustle (I walked across the bridge in to Taglibaran easily) yet also away enough in its own peaceful area to feel like a retreat. It’s a great location to scooter/Tuk tuk down to Alona but also close to the Port and Bohol. The bungalows are spacious with a balcony and if you’re a backpacker like me, easy to catch up on your washing! I was in the shared bungalow with considerate people so it was relaxing and a great experience. The river is great for a cool down swim and the property is well landscaped with some loungers to relax. It is small and very personable for a great experience. The staff and owner are incredibly helpful and also have quality scooters on hand for renting at a great rate.
