We loved being in rural Uruguay in a home with distinctive decor and furnishings rather than in a hotel (which Mariscala doesn’t offer anyway). The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. Communication with the host was excellent despite our lack of Spanish. Thoroughly recommend a stay here. We had superb meals at La Cochina de Homero despite Google Maps calling it “fast food”, and we bought top quality bread, vegetables etc. from the SuperBrisa to eat “at home”.

Emil I ano wad a wonderful host. He made us feel very welcome. Our Spanish was not great and his English was excellent which made things better on the communication end of things. We loved the room and the hotel. The in-house restaurant was Excellent and chef Rodrigo was friendly and a great cook!
