It was a perfect location in a beautiful old building with a bright breakfast dining area. The owner is so friendly and he sat us down with welcome beers and explained everything there was to do in the area. We took some of his advice and had a wonderful time. The breakfast was also plentiful and delicious and he gave us doggy bags to pack a lunch. We felt very well taken care of and really enjoyed our stay.

The surrounding Allgäu countryside is ideal for hiking, cycling, golf and winter sports. Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle are a 15-minute drive away.

On-site parking is free at Schwarzenbach Landhotel. This is my 2nd visit. First was in 2017 and it was fantastic then. 2nd even better because they’ve added on to their property a whole new 2nd bldg with a wellness spa(sauna, steam and pool). The views are also breathtaking from the hotel. Location is perfect.

Our room was really spacious with a nice balcony with a view over the mountains. The bedroom was small but comfortable with a tv and large wardrobe. The living room was very spacious with a kitchen and dining table, sofa and a second tv. The apartment is well decorated and modern. What I also liked was the little deli in the entrance of the residence where you can purchase drinks, cheese, fruits, eggs, homemade cakes and more. They use a honesty box where you can put the money in which is very convenient if you need anything or to buy some local products. We wished we could have stayed longer!
