The chalets were clean, spacious and new. The restaurant is located down on the river on an open houseboat type setup. The views are stunning. The staff Phenyo, IK and KG made amazing efforts to ensure we had a great stay and are super people.

Uitstap naar Vic Falls met privé chauffeur Stan was ook de max, zowel qua uitstap als qua service.

The place was beautiful & modern and it had all the facilities needed. The manager was helpful and kind as well.

Excellent location, well positioned in a quiet area and within easy walking access to the main centre. Efficient and friendly staff, especially the hostess, who helped me so much and went above and beyond to make my stay there extremely smooth. She helped me organize so many things and was truly a blessing. I appreciated being able to leave my Hire vehicle parked securely there whilst I went for a short trip to Zimbabwe. Also assisted me to organize the shuttle transport to and from Zimbabwe as well - really extremely helpful. Clean and spacious room, and an excellent breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended.

In the middle of the Botswanan bush is this beautiful campsite, fully sustainable and with very passionate owners who are working with local communities. Only stayed for a night but the hosts were very attentive and helpful.

Destiny Blo Inn bevindt zich in Kachikau, op 34 km van Ngoma-poort Nationaal Park Chobe, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een restaurant. Leuke accomodatie in handen van een lokale initiatiefnemer. Met veel enthousiasme runt de eigenaar deze lodge. Momenteel zijn er 4 à 5 huisjes. Het bed is comfortabel en de douche wordt warm (niet overal in Botswana het geval). In het restaurant kan er gekozen worden voor ontbijt, lunch en avondeten. Ondanks de afgelegen locatie maakt de kok zeer goed eten. Het overige personeel is heel vriendelijk en doet veel moeite. Interessante plek als alternatief voor Kasane om het Chobe National Park te bezoeken. Het is drie kwartier rijden van de entree. De eigenaar biedt ook activiteiten als game drives aan. Hij deed dit voor ons zelf heeft heel veel kennis over alle dieren in het park. Ik zou zeker nog eens terugkomen! Bedankt.

POVI Holiday Home ligt op 8,2 km van Mowana Golf Course en biedt een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een terras en gratis WiFi. POVI was like being at a family member’s house. You are in a real local neighborhood and Connie is a great hostess. My room was clean and tidied up daily. There was a refrigerator, air conditioning and mosquito net over the bed. Breakfast was served on time daily and I opted for lighter fare (coffee, juice, cereal and fruit). Additional items are available. The location is close to Chobe National Park and the tiny “village” area. I found it refreshing to relax at POVI after days of activities. Connie offered dinners prepared by her chef but I made my own arrangements. I had a car and that makes things easier but small Honda taxis are plentiful in the neighborhood and cheap. Connie is a great resource but modest. I accidentally found out that she has made history and is a pioneer featured in a long New York Times article. She was part of the first team of all-female guides in Botswana. All in all, if you want an authentic local experience and can forego luxury for a short time, POVI is easy on the pocketbook and good for the spirit. It is secure too.
