I had an absolutely incredible stay at Cruz Roja in Leticia, easily the best experience of my entire trip in Colombia! The staff here are simply amazing—friendly, funny, and always willing to help. They made everything easy and enjoyable, from modifying my booking dates to storing my belongings while I traveled deeper into the jungle. They helped coordinate with a tour agency, which was a huge plus. Each morning, they cooked delicious meals, and we had great and easy conversations over breakfast. Their kindness and warmth made me feel at home, and I truly appreciated their care and attention. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with air conditioning—an absolute necessity in the Amazon! One detail I particularly loved was the adjustable lighting in the rooms, allowing you to switch between cold and warm tones. Small things like this really make a difference. Just keep in mind, like everywhere in the Amazon, there is no hot water—but that's to be expected. The location is convenient, just a short drive from the airport, and while it's not the most walkable area due to an open field separating it from the city center, tuk-tuks are cheap and fast. Getting around Leticia is very easy, as it's a small town. Another reason to stay here: the hotel contributes part of its profits to the Red Cross Foundation. So by staying here, you're also supporting a great cause. Huge thanks to the entire staff for making my stay in Leticia unforgettable! The external sit out makes you feel like a resort at the price of a hostel. This hostel is run by a swiss couple Yanina and john (I hope I got the names right), who have hearts of gold. They run it in an eco friendly way while supporting local indigenous communities and persons with disabilities by hiring them and treating them with utmost dignity and respect as part of their family. The rooms and hostel beds are super comfortable with an attached bathroom to each room, and also separate bathrooms to give ample number of bathrooms in case there are more guests. You will feel like you are in a Homestay with a family - yet have the opportunity to meet fellow hostellers and exchange travel notes! Go for it!

The apartment provides lake views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available. What a wonderful stay at Cabañas Delhi! I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived, including the offer of breakfast at the property. The cabin is a short walk from town and so is lovely and peaceful. I so enjoyed reading my book in the hammock and watching the birds that came past. Would definitely recommend going to see the sloths and doing some bird watching while you are here.

Though the location is a bit off the center, currently blocked by construction site and took me longer to reach, it's really good value for money and the host was always kind to offer water, tableware and common ingredients. The room was very clean and quiet.

We were surprised with a welcome drink and the staff were super lovely!! All our travel and tours were organised very efficiently. Especially the Mundo Amazonico Tour is highly recommendable but you should speak Spanish. However one of us didn’t and still enjoyed the tour.

Our stay here with Leo and his wife, Elizabeth, exceeded our expectations. The rooms are comfortable and the hammocks are a great way to unwind after a long day. Leo took us on amazing adventures and when conflicts with scheduling happened, he saw to it that we were well taken care of. He speaks some English and we speak some Spanish, but it was only a small obstacle and it didn’t take away from the tours. Leo is incredibly patient and knowledgeable about the area and Elizabeth is an amazing cook. It felt like they had included us as family during our stay. Thank you for taking such great care of us during our adventure. We would recommend this stay to anyone.
