There are so many reasons to stay here, #1 being the family themselves. They are very friendly, all around good people. They were super welcoming, helped us with all of our plans and even invited us to join for dinner when it started raining. It was great to practice our Spanish (we are learning) and Angel was a very good teacher, helping us to improve. They made us a different breakfast each morning, including homemade tortillas. Would for sure stay here again if we found ourselves back in Guatemala. Thanks for everything!

We stayed in the private room and it was clean and comfortable. The manager/owner Andrea was lovely and really interesting to talk to and the communal area was chilled and peaceful. It was right in the centre of town so everything was within walking distance. The kitchen had good equipment and there was free filter coffee and tea. The staff seemed happy there.

Julio and Vilma make sure you feel like you’re at home. The breakfast included in the stay is delicious and the facilities are clean. They were also helpful in booking the Mayan Nose tour and transportation to my next destination.

The whole wall of glass opens up, so when the weather is good, it's really amazing to have it open air. It rained a lot while I was there, and it was the most peaceful experience watching the clouds roll in and getting the breeze off the lake. The daybed against the window overlooking the lake is just divine. I could lounge there all day. There are two very cute and friendly cats that will try to get in! It's really quiet and the bed was amazing. Most comfortable place I stayed in Guatemala. I arrived early as someone was cleaning the apartment and she was extremely nice and stowed my bag while she finished up. A nice touch you don't often get in an airbnb type place.

Το Hotel Toliman βρίσκεται στην άκρη της λίμνης Atitlán, στο San Lucas Tolimán της περιφέρειας Solola, σε απόσταση 45χλμ. από την Αντίγκουα Γουατεμάλα. This is a gem. One of our favorite places to stay over 4 months travel to Central America. The location is amazing, in a small town that sees very little tourism, at the foot of Attilan volcano and right on the lake. The grounds are gorgeous, with a lovely pool and fantastic organic garden and plenty of hammocks. The restaurant is fabulous, we loved everything we ate, from the well served breakfasts to tasty and fresh salads, soups and fish, with almost everything sourced in their own organic garden. The staff are all kind and helpful and very well trained (the waiters also double as guides for the hikes which is nice). There seems to be real pride in working here.
