It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

As non-divers, we were looking for a relaxed but comfortable place to stay on the island. Though a little bit away from some other, apparently 'happening' places of the island, we thought it was still the best place to stay. We loved the overall aesthetics of the resort - quite unique and fresh compared to other places on the island - and how easy it was to get everything we needed: from transport to tips about activities, not just locally, but also on the mainland. We loved the variety of food and drink options offered on site - prepared with much love and attention as well as other local restaurant recommendations we were given. The patchy WiFi did not bother us as we wanted to disconnect and relax. The owners are very attentive and inspiring people who clearly put a lot of effort into making their guests' stay as hassle-free as possible. We loved just being able to slow down and hang out, read our books , watch the ocean and play with the resident puppy. A fab stay for couples, friends but even for solo travellers who are looking to unwind. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to be back!

Το Mila Homestay είναι στην Παντάνγκ, σε απόσταση 10 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Siti Nurbaya Bridge. Προσφέρει κλιματιζόμενες μονάδες με δωρεάν WiFi, καθώς και πρόσβαση σε βεράντα. We found LOBLUS by chance and it was wonderful. The place is very cosy, the rooms very clean, good value for money, but the most important and the most remarkable is DILAH. She is the nicest, kindest and most dedicated person we have met in Indonesia. If you have a couple of days or more, she will make your experience as rewarding as possible. She will get you all the food and fruit you want for breakfast, and even if you want to see crocodiles, she will wait with you for 3 or 4 hours until they show up! Hahaha I would definitely recommend her a million times. If you want to do a tour in Sumatra, I recommend you to talk to her and spend at least one day there. She deserves everything and more. A friend for life. Thank you DILAH.

We stayed here for one night before our jungle trek. We booked our Medan airport to Bukit Lawang transport and the jungle trek with them. From the time of booking till we left the place; Brian and his team were extremely helpful. Sarah cooked delicious dinner for the night. The place is value for money and they even provide good breakfast. Our tour guide for the forest trek was Rosyid & his assistant Theo. They were absolutely amazing and the best throughout. I could complete my trek on the last day because of their motivation throughout. We can't recommend them enough. The food that they served during trek was also really good. Rosyid and Theo went out of their way to help a random guy during the trek who was unwell and made sure to give him the medicines and took extremely good care of him till he got better and help arrived. It didn't matter to him if the guy was part of our group or no and that shows how professional and caring they are. Magic tricks by Rosyid at the campsite was very entertaining. There was also Manto who cooked extremely delicious dinner and breakfast for us and helped with the river tubing. Would definitely recommend staying at Sumatra Thomas Leaf Monkey Guesthouse in Bukit Lawang.

It is all about location, location, location. The view is exceptional. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Nice bed. Robert was a great host and super helpful. The homestay is still relatively new, but he's been in the area for years and knows it very well. Took a one day tour with him and a few other guests. It was fantastic. Things, culture, people, and places I never would have found otherwise. Wish I could have stayed longer.
