The room was new, spacious, and very clean. The owners are incredibly kind and love their dogs (and puppies!) - dog lovers will feel right at home here. There’s no AC, but the cool nights made it perfectly comfortable. The Wi-Fi runs on Starlink, so the connection was strong. And the food… absolutely amazing - probably the best we had in all of Sumba! Don’t miss their famous lobster soup!

We stayed for four nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment of arrival, all throughout our stay and right up to our departure, we were exceedingly well-treated by all the staff at Anna Villas. They staff make this the special place it is: they were welcoming, friendly and kind, and provide amazing service. This is a fantastic place to really chill out and get close to nature. We saw wild horses and buffalo, and enjoyed watching glorious sunsets and looking up to see the stars at night. There is an incredible beach, which we had almost entirely to ourselves, most of the time. We relaxed, and went swimming and snorkelling to see the incredible coral reefs. We stayed in the Villa Paul area, which had a fantastic shared pool and well-designed communal area, which was a great place to hang out. Inside, the private villa was beautifully decorated with lovely furniture and facilities. We ate all our meals at Anna Villas and we were really happy with everything we had to eat and drink. They accommodated vegetarians very well. It's possible to organise trips and other activities at Anna Villas. We chose to have a Sumbanese massage, with traditional local oils, which was fantastic. Overall, this was a magical stay, which we will never forget.

Iwan, the manager of the resort, picked us up from the airport. He speaks English well and very friendly. So upon our arrival till departure, all the staffs there, Iwan, Orfi and Angel, were so helpful and tried to make our stay convenient, and to this, we may say they did a super job. 👏👏👏

Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.

The accommodation was amazing, we even got to sleep under the full moon on the rooftop for two nights. The sky was stunning, and the view in the early morning was breathtaking. Breakfast was made with love, using fresh fruits and other ingredients from the garden, absolutely delicious! After breakfast, Bram, the owner's nephew, showed us around the garden and all the beautiful things it has to offer. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire with Bram, who shared our stay with us. He showed us around part of the island, taking us to wonderful places, each more beautiful than the last. We even had the chance to enjoy a night with live singers at an open café-restaurant. We laughed a lot and shared so many great moments together. This place is a true haven of peace, run by passionate and kind people. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for everything, Bram ! And thank you for your lyrics too ! ;)
