The host is a very kind and nice person. He offered to pick up my luggage from the station and even took me to the only open store at the time to buy some groceries for dinner. The kayak experience was incredible I fully recommend it — he is a great coach! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity. The house is not far from the station, and you can easily walk there if your luggage isn’t too big. The view from the house is amazing and very relaxing. It’s a comfortable, calm, and peaceful place.

Το Iya Kankou Ryokan είναι σε Miyoshi, σε απόσταση 37 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Tsurugi-san Chairlift και διαθέτει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης και κοινόχρηστο χώρο... I stayed at the Ryokan which run by amazingly heartwarming family for 3 nights! It was soooooo memorable! The great Grandma, Deguchi san, such a cute and kind person and she takes care about everything including my plan at The Valley! She and her son (Kazuya san, he used to be a chef manager.) cook so delicious meals every single day with a different menu for dinner, it was sooooo delicious!! I really enjoyed chatting with other guests from over the world and it was very fun! My room and entire the accommodation was super clean! The location is perfect for looking around the vine bridge, there are several public bus services which run every 1 hour between Oboke station and the Kazurabashi. They offered a special discount for the nearest Onsen, called Hotel Kazurabashi Onsen which was so nice and plus point! (15 mins walks from the Ryokan.) There are only 5 rooms at the accommodation so book well beforehand to have such nice experience from the locals!! I really highly recommend here if visiting the Iya valley and will definitely come back to see the lovely family again in the near future for sure! Thank you very very much for the great experience and nice stay!! Everything, meals, atmosphere and staff are over 10 points, 100 of 10!!!

This is a lovely spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and even a deep hot tub to soak after a long day. The apartment was extremely clean. And the owner is very helpful and easy to contact. While I don't expect people in another country to speak my language, we were very happy that the owner spoke excellent English. We liked it so much we are coming back again after our pilgrimage around Shikoku.

We loved everything about our stay. But if we have to single out three things it would be the unbelievably beautiful remote location of this inn with its onsen, the gourmet dinners and the kind, hospitable staff.

Με όμορφη θέα στη φύση από τα ιαματικά λουτρά του τελευταίου ορόφου, το Hotel Kazurabashi προσφέρει δωμάτια ιαπωνικού στιλ και τραπεζαρία όπου το φαγητό παρασκευάζεται στο τραπέζι των επισκεπτών. tldr: perfect stay, we'd stay there again! Nice staff, good food, amazing Onsen, good value for money. Long version: Well kept, well maintained and clean hotel. We stayed in a tatami-style room, which was very roomy for 2 people. Our room on 3rd floor was facing the road, with a nice view of the mountains. Despite being located next to a road, it's no problem as there is little traffic during the day and almost none at night. There is an outdoor Onsen with a view of either the mountains during the day or the stars at night. It is so relaxing to enjoy the stars in the onsen after a day of hiking! For people arriving by car, there's plenty of parking spaces right in front of the Hotel. For people arriving by bus, the bus stop is right in front of the Hotel. Very convenient. The staff is amazing! They really, really made us feel welcome and put in a lot of effort to make our stay great. Big "Thank You" to the staff!! The food (breakfast and dinner) was great as well. It's a variety of local and general Japanese food, served on traditional low tables (that allow western type of sitting with a hole in the floor below the table). The Hotel is a bit more expensive than what we usually book and we were hesitant when we booked it, but after staying we think everything considered (food, onsen, staff) it's good value for money and we'd stay there again. Iya Valley: We stayed for 3 nights, which means two full days. We didn't have a car so we relied on the public bus, which means there's basically one bus to Mount Tsuragi in the morning and one bus back in the afternoon. We went hiking on Mount Tsuragi & sight-seeing in Ochiai village on one day, to Nogoro (Scarecrow) village & double vine bridges the other day. By car, it can be done on a single day, by bus you need 2 days due to the timetable. Arrival & departure day can be used for the vine bridge close to the Hotel, visiting Oboke and the temple in Kotohira.
