They made our room ready before official time 12 instead of normal 14. We had to leave next morning very early. Therefore, I don't know about the quality of the breakfast, but, I can tell that they assembled nice "early leaver package" for us. They also organised a cheap eCab taxi to the airport (6,5€) . From ordinary tourist point of view - the Sea was just some bus stops away, so we enjoyed a sandy beach (Il-Bajja s-Sabiha) and about 20C swimming water (in beginning of December) in Marsaxlokk.

There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Our room wasn't yet ready when we arrived, but we were given the code to access the property's lobby and were able to leave our bags. The location was great for our purposes: about a block and a half to a major bus stop, less than a five minute walk to many bars and restaurants, and less than ten minutes walk to the main square. (We were not there for the beach.) We were also able to leave our bags in a secure location after check-out, so that we could go to one last museum in the morning before leaving Mellieha. Our room (Paradise Bay) was spacious, with all the necessary amenities, robes, a fridge, and nice supplies to make coffee or tea. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tub, relaxing after walking on the hills of town all day. Breakfast was at a cute café/shop a block and a half away and included coffee, juice or a smoothie, a pastry, a hot savory sandwich or pie, and water. The staff there was great. The neighborhood is quiet, with mostly older people as neighbors, and we heard no noise in the night from the street (which is small and one way).
