The rooms were cleaned every day, and the common areas were perfect for relaxing, eating, and studying. However, on the morning of my departure, I experienced something very upsetting. I was quietly waiting for the elevator when an older woman from South New Zealand started shouting at me for several minutes for no reason. Because I was rushing for my bus, I tried to ignore her at first, but even after I entered the elevator, she continued pointing at me and yelling. At that point, I had no choice but to defend myself, and we ended up arguing. What shocked me even more was that she suddenly became extremely friendly toward another Norway guest inside the elevator, which made her discriminatory attitude even more obvious. This incident had nothing to do with the hostel, and the staff and facilities were wonderful. But as a solo traveler, this experience was very hurtful. I hope that everyone traveling alone can meet kindness and joy—not people who act with such shameful prejudice.

One of the better motels we've stayed at for 1 night in hanmer, we've stayed in a few. Loveliest hosts and provided towels for the hot pools. Bonus tavern come restaurant right next door and located on main street in hanmer so all amenities close by. Would definitely book again.

Situated in Kaikoura, 1.3 km from Kaikoura Beach, Austin Heights - Kaikoura features a garden and views of the garden. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. This motel was one of the nicest motels we have stayed at. The view was amazing and the easy chairs very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
