The staff was always helpful and smiling (even when the guests were being difficult). I loved how beautiful the different rooms/apartments were arranged. Everything was close, but still secluded. The gardener team is doing great work. I would like to have all these beautiful plants at home. There was something new to discover every day. The rooms were cleaned daily and the water can in the room refilled as well. We also loved the bar with the pool table which we used every night. Welcome drink was a very nice gesture and the fresh juice tasted so good. You can choose from a lot of options for breakfast. Just the portions of jam and butter were sometimes calculated a little bit too small. You can hike up the El Pastoreo in about 10-15 minutes and admire the beautiful sunset or sunrise from there if you do not want to hike up the crater rim. It is right behind the hotel. Thanks for everything!

I didn’t believe it when Bret said we would be seeing so many delightful and diverse birds right out the windows but there was a constant visiting of hummingbirds and other rare sightings.

Beautiful quiet spot surrounded by mountains. The pool was wonderful too, with natural hot sping water in it. There is a beautiful terrace outside to enjoy. We had a nice welcome from Alex and he was available to answer our questions and advice us. Alex has special skills to release knocks on your back so do not hesitate to take a treatment with him. This is something unique in the world.

The shower had hot water, which was wonderful considering our last place didn’t. The home is beautiful, with a very large dining table. There’s an outdoor area, too. We didn’t really make use of it, but it was nice. It was a block from the main street and a short walk to laundry. Laura and Sergio were so friendly and accommodating. They told us how to get to a trail we wanted to hike, and where to see the best view of the sunset. They gave us recommendations for restaurants, too. We even had a great game of Dutch Blitz with Sergio (he won…beginner’s luck 😉😆). The breeze coming through the windows was so refreshing. We appreciated the use of the main area and the fridge. There were other guests there but we didn’t really see or hear them. It was very quiet and serene. The grounds are very pretty, and you can’t beat the setting, with mountains all around. It was a great stay! I would definitely stay here again. 100%. Valle de Anton is my favourite place so far.

During our 5-day stay, they offered to clean the room and change towels. Amazing and beautifully presented breakfast right by the ocean. Perfect location—just 10 seconds from the ocean and the beach! You can tell everything is made with love, and the owners truly care. A fridge with reasonably priced drinks (cola, beer) and snacks. Hosts provide boogie boards, sunscreen, and other beach essentials—everything you need! Cons: While the house is on the beach, it’s far from infrastructure. The nearest store is a 20-minute walk, but it only sells chips and chocolate. If you need real food (meat, cheese), you’ll need to take a taxi ($10 round trip) or a taxi + highway bus. So this place is for pure beach relaxation. Scorpions and ants sometimes got into our room, but since it's in the middle of nature, it’s understandable. The hosts provided insect repellent. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a secluded beach getaway!

We were tucked away with our private garden with a couple of adirondack chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of surrounding mountains. The kitchen looked well stocked, but we didn't use it since we were there for only 1 night. Warm water in the bathroom and good water pressure. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer...but we will be back when we have more time. The host was very kind and helpful...she even helped me carry my bags to the room since I have to use a cane to walk.

The owner had a supply of coffe and essential cooking items, something we really appreciated. She even left us a papaya to use for the bird feeder . The birding from the deck was incredible, we saw a great number of birds without even leaving the property.
