Ms Val knew all guests by their names and greeted everyone cheerfully every day. Mr Ralph and Ms Zel really went the extra mile when I got injured during one of the tours too. All the other staff have also been helpful and attentive. We really appreciate every bit of our stay here! Will definitely choose Funny Lion again if we come back :)

We were first given a room above the reception that we found loud (the usual problem in the Philippines is poor front door sound insulation). Upon bringing that complaint to the staff, they went beyond our expectations to accommodate our needs. We were positively surprised and had such a great experience that we decided to extend our stay. We ordered breakfast once and it was brought to our room which was really nice. We loved the trip to Nacpan beach and enjoyed free sunbeds at their sister hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle to the city and to the airport.

Even with the glamping-style setup, the room had a good working AC and reliable internet, which made it extra comfortable. And the breakfast—wow, the servings were really generous. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking for comfort and genuine hospitality.

Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the garden and inner courtyard. Very friendly staff, thanks to them it really feels like a second home. The place is also very clean and well maintained; even the shared bathrooms. We extended our stay with 2 more nights. The tent on the ground was ok, but the tent upstairs felt really good. Just a little bit less privacy than the cottages, but for the price and comfort it gave it was perfect. Location is great, most of the times it is quiet. Only some times some noises from a party of church nearby.
