It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.

The property was clean and well maintained. It was in an ideal spot to explore the big island. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and it was never an issue! The host was great at communicating.

Staying here was one of the best decisions I have made throughout my two weeks in Hawaii. Staff is truly super (helpful, friendly, welcoming, helpful) and the people you meet there are just amazing. My private room was large, comfortable, and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, too. Location is incredible.

The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. This 3-star bed and breakfast offers private entrance. Property exceeded expectations and photos from the listing. Stunning location and sunset views over the ocean. Ricky is also such a fantastic host, he spent time to chat with us after making a fantastic breakfast each day. Breakfast was a highlight with ingredients from his own farm on the property, served with a view out over the ocean. Truly a special experience and couldn't recommend enough!
