Situated in the heart of Polonnaruwa and overlooking the panoramic Parakrama Samudraya, The Lake House provides a peaceful getaway featuring elegantly furnished rooms and free internet access. The Ekho lake house is an amazing space with the perfect location for visiting Pollonaruwa. It is immediately close to the ticket office, has a classic architecture perfectly suited to the lake and classical Sri Lankan / British style that has been maintained with love and attention. Our entire group was impressed with the facility, and the superior service at mealtimes. Special thanks to Isuru for all the great support for our group and accommodating our needs.

Views are amazing and the garden chalets exceeded our expectations. Food and service excellent, we wish we could have stayed longer. Easy to get a short tuk tuk into Kandy. Would really recommend the hike up Hanthana mountain with local guide Chamila, organised through the hotel.

The bungalow sits atop a hill with a view of a river, hills and forested landscape capturing a picturesque view of Kandy. The morning mist encompasses the bungalow making you feel you're living in the clouds. With an infinity pool and attentive service and a gorgeous property this stay capped my entire Sri Lanka trip. The bungalow is located 15 min drive from the main property but check-in and everything else is handled directly at the bungalow. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Manju (head of housekeeping) took our orders and overall made our stay enjoyable. The food cooked by the private chef was memorable. Would encourage all friends to visit.

I highly recommend this place for so many reasons: • Location – easy to reach by car, and you can also take a tuk-tuk. • Cleanliness – everything was spotless. • Cozy atmosphere – it feels warm and welcoming. • Quality design – a tasteful mix of items from different countries and IKEA. • Delicious food – every meal was a treat. • Attentive service – the staff really cares. • Reliable internet – perfect for staying connected. We felt completely at home during our three-day stay. It was warm, with no insects or mold, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. I truly recommend this place. We had a wonderful stay with Nishi and her husband. Both are incredibly hospitable; we felt right at home and were well looked after :) The whole area is very beautiful with a fantastic view of Kandy. The room is spacious and nicely furnished with attention to detail (decoration, first-aid kit, water, tea). The breakfast is fantastic—definitely worth trying. Nishi helped us with organizing our further travel and made our day with little treats :) We would love to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kandy Siebel Bungalow, hosted by Anoma and her daughter. Although my stay was brief—just one night—I was thoroughly impressed. Upon arrival, I was welcomed warmly and offered a delicious dinner.My room was beautifully upgraded to feature one large double bed and a single bed, perfect for families or groups. The stunning mountain view from my room was a highlight, and the fast, stable Wi-Fi made my stay even more enjoyable.The location is excellent, just a 23-minute walk from the train station, in a lovely area with good bus connections. Anoma's kindness and helpfulness truly made this homestay a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

The property was very clean, spacious, and in a great location,just a short walk to Thisa Lake and close to the temples. The balcony had beautiful views of nature and a temple in the distance. The staff were friendly and flexible, making our stay very comfortable.
