We had an amazing stay in Koh Samui. The place was peaceful, private, and so relaxing — exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful unique and basic option close to airport. Super cosy at night and cool bamboo built hut with two fans was lovely experience for our last night in Samui. Very well designed with shelves, and modern clever touches like a USB socket and magnetic closing curtains at the hut entrance in addition to the bamboo hut door. Friendly owners, welcoming yet giving lots of privacy too. Great location for airport and a scooter makes everything accessible even a short ride to Chaweng. Shower gel and shampoo provided. Visiting in Jan 2025 the hut felt very new and very clean.

The bungalow was super comfy and just as described! Thr staff was super nice and were nice enought to drive us to the airport and let us stay a bit over the check-out time 💖 there was a nice play-area with big mirrors, perfect for practicing! The location was a bit further away from the central areas, but perfectly secluded. I recommend renting a motorbike during your stay even if youre planning on just going to the centre (much cheaper than bolt)

I stayed at Shangrila Bungalow, located on the serene Maenam Beach, which is perfect for those seeking a peaceful and laid-back atmosphere in Koh Samui. Compared to busier areas like Chaweng or Lamai Beach, Maenam is much more relaxed. The room was small but comfortable, with a good bed, soft pillows, and a desk with a mirror. The bathroom had a hot water shower, and the deck outside had chairs and a place to hang wet clothes. Unfortunately, there were too many mosquitoes, so we didn’t spend much time on the deck, but we used plenty of mosquito repellent. The hotel restaurant had a great menu—nothing fancy but consistently good food, and the staff were wonderful. The pool, with its warm salted water, was a highlight. You could walk straight from the pool to the white sand beach, making it a perfect place to relax. We also rented a scooter directly from the hotel, which was a fantastic way to explore the island. Riding around Koh Samui is easy and stress-free, and I highly recommend it. For airport transfers, it's best to book directly with the hotel for better rates. Overall, a very relaxing stay. I would definitely come back!

We may have been somewhat influenced by the perfect weather we were lucky enough to experience, but we would rate Lamai high on our list of favourite beaches and the beachfront bungalow at Lamai Coconuts Resort was the icing on the cake. The location was perfect. The bungalow a bit small and rustic, but had plenty of charm with a large porch overlooking the beach. The breakfast was great, especially as the restaurant was in a prime spot by the sea. We only quickly used the pool as the sea was so inviting, but children were having fun in it. There were many restaurants nearby along the beachfront and the streets behind the resort.
