The luxury tents are perfect. The best part of the experience though was our guide, Charné Her knowledge, respect and enthusiasm for the animals is beyond compare. And our night tracker, Captivity, was also very skilled. He even spotted a chameleon in a bush in the dark !

The location is absolute the best you can get. Everyone is also super friendly, food was delicious

Shindzela is a tented safari camp, set in a traversing area within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the greater Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Guests of the Shindzela Tented Safari Camp stay in a canvas safari tent that is equipped with 2 twin beds and a wooden deck. Each tent also has a private en suite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Shindzela far exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful and much more of a glamping experience than a camp. The communal dining spaces are beautiful especially the candlelit dinners under the stars. The food was exceptional. Our safari guides Sam and Edward were extremely knowledgeable and we had the closest animal encounters on our Shindzela safaris. Watching the elephants visiting the river bed each day at the campsite is so magical! Would highly recommend Shindzela to anyone wanting an immersive safari experience that is still comfortable and amazing value.

This resort is comprised of 2 en suite tented camps and offers full board, inclusive of all meals and activities. See the African bush and it’s diverse wildlife during the game drives in open air vehicles and guided walks, all supervised by qualified and experienced guides and trackers. Best trip of our lives. The camp is located within the Manyeleti reserve (it’s not easy to find on the gps, but is very well indicated as from the moment you arrive at the gate). We saw animals as from the moment we passed the gate : zebras on the road, elephants roaming around the swimming pool (they were there every day of our stay!). We were afraid of not seeing many animals because we came in the rain season (January) but we saw the Big 5 in 3 game drives! Devance was an excellent guide and we learned a lot about the area thanks to his broad knowledge. The food was excellent, and they even organised a special braai for New Year’s Eve.
