With a shared bathroom, tents have a patio with views of the garden. They come with a barbecue and free towels. Nicely decorated area, very clean and comfortable tent with kingsize bed, fridge, WiFi. Also highly recommend breakfast, it’s tasty and affordable price. We spent 2 nights here, our first and last day in Namibia. The toilets and showers were nice and close to tents. I am in love with this place 😍 The camp is also close to Joe’s beer house, which is one of the most recommended restaurants in Windhoek!

The campground also features outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. Camp Gecko is one of the best memories of our trip! The setting of the large, comfortable tents in the quiet of the desert; the fantastic dinner braai packs with venison steak, salad, home-made bread and even a dessert (as we were not set up for camping, we were given crockery to use for our meal); the swim in the fish pond/pool with mountains in the background; the long shared breakfast table, where we met interesting fellow travellers. The owner Anna and Ernst at reception, who were both lovely, and the beer in the fridge there which was always cold :). We are seriously considering going back there for a longer stay!
