What an amazing experience! The capsule itself was big, comfortable, and clean; but the hotel facilities were really what stood out. To the free snacks and coffee in the lobby, to the shelves with manga, to the AMAZING semi-open air onsen that played piano versions of ghibli songs, this truly was one of the best hotels of my whole trip in Japan, and I've been here for three months now. Excelent value for money and excellent location too!

Booked a twin size bed, not expecting I would get a "capsule" the size of a small hotel room XD Best capsule hotel so far, and I've been in at least 10 for the past two months. Everything is ultra clean and modern, staff is nice and if you forgot your toothbrush/towel/comb/shave, they got free ones for you. There is also a smoking area inside the building which is very convenient. I love this place.

Calendar Hotel in Otsu provides adults-only accommodation with a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

The location and the amenities!! There were so many things we could use such as myjamas, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothbrush + toothpaste, lots of towels, house slippers,etc… so so good!
