The best. Just the most wonderful setting for a relaxing time. What were the highlights? The food? Fresh made, local produce, superb. The staff? Attentive, friendly, welcoming. The surroundings? Appropriate, beautiful, unusual. The wildlife? Endlessly fascinating. And then Maulie, the proprietor…warm, informative and great fun. If you have a chance to stay here, take it!

Lovely, welcoming family. Nice room with outdoor space with chairs and hammock, you can relax in the afternoon and watch monkeys jumping around. Owner organized safari for me even thought i was by alone and got jeep just for myself. Elephant Safari was amazing! Great driver/guide with a lot of knowledge and great attitude. I took morning safari bc there is less people and it was a good decision. I have seen plenty of elephants plus a lot of birds and other animals. I do recommend safari with this host, great value for a really good price.

Rooms are simple, but spacious and incredibly clean. Has all essentials: no kettle, but absolutely not a problem when the manager of the property is serving tea and coffee free. Location, off the main road. Amazing if you like somewhere a bit quieter, away from the tourist hubbub, but still accessible. 20-min walk to the Rock. Some tuk-tuks ask for more to drive them down the back street road. We just asked them to drop us off at the main road entrance and walked from there. Breakfast - sensational. Five stars. Home cooked coconut rotis and hoppers. Fresh, served at your selected time. But now the star of the show: Property Manager, Fernando, is a hospitality king. Waiting up late for us, to greet us with great welcome and ensure we had booked all of our drivers/activities for the next day. Making sure we were getting the best rates for our tours and tuk-tuks. Whatever we needed, Fernando delivered. He even tried to give us back our tip! But he deserved every penny. If you're reading Fernando, sir, thank you so much!!

The unique aspect of being almost in a jungle yet having all the amenities of a hotel. The pool is great. The dinner is great. You will expect to encounter animals inside the vicinity such as squirrels, birds, dogs even a small white snake I saw, but that is part of the experience. The staff are very attentive. My favorite was the outdoor shower! The tree house is amazing for an evening!

Rawul and Dula were fabulous hosts and the dinners they offer for the evening elevate "Rice and curry" to a whole new level. So many delicious foods we never got to have anywhere else. The location is wonderful, walking distance of Lion Rock and the other climby one. AC holds well at night, cold shower has lots of pressure, really comfortable pillows. Tours are arranged for you at very good prices and reputable providers.
