The location was amazing, right at the edge of the forest. The house was also really idyllic with a beautiful wooden architecture and a porch perfect to drink coffee on. Cooking amenities were a bit lacking, but that was negated by their amazing grill of which we made extensive use. The hostess was also really nice, even though we didn't have a lot of contact, she would still answer fully and on time. All together, this house has exceeded all expectations, and expectations were already high to begin with!

The View in the morning and evening was absolutely stunning! Also we loved the adventure with the motor boat and our own island!! It was really relaxing!

The park is stunning, with a lovely little playground at the water's edge. Despite some traffic noise from the nearby main road, the park setting feels close to nature - lots of birdsong abounds! The lodge is spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There isn't much in the way of shops and cafés in the immediate surroundings, but Vathorst train station with direct trains to various towns and cities is just a short walk away.

The location was superb for families with (young) children. It's a 7 min bike ride to the city centre or a 25 min walk. It's very easy to rent a bike on the property. You get a family home with lots of space around your house. It's hard to find good family accomodations near a city centre. This exceeds expectations.

The boat house was exactly as shown in the photo and much nicer and very clean. The mattresses were nice and firm. Beautiful spot for relaxing and enjoying boat ride to the nearest lake. Robert was very responsive to any queries that we had. We were sorry that our stay was very short here, and we will definitely come back here if we come back to Netherland again.
