Absolutely loved this magical place. Nice and quiet getaway, falling asleep with only the sound of the river. So much attention for details by the sweetest couple who run the place. Amazing view. Nice walk at the property along. the town close by felt very safe. We used this spot to travel to Drakensberg park, so after a day of hiking this was the perfect place to relax. One of our favorite spots in South Africa!

The breakfast was amazing, from the fruit salad, yoghurt to the English breakfast cooked to perfection! The ambiance is breathtaking and the hosts made us feel so welcome and at ease.

Peaceful surroundings, lovely setting and such a beautiful, comfortable room, in a lovely homely building. The breakfast was delicious and sitting out in the sun on the long verandha while having breakfast was a bonus. Staff were so friendly and helpful, fun as well. Although we are not golfers we felt very welcome.

The FarSide Dam Cottage, a property with a bar, is located in Nottingham Road, 24 km from Fort Nottingham Museum, 32 km from Midmar Dam, as well as 32 km from Karkloof Nature Reserve.

Winnie was so welcoming and the staff so friendly and super efficiant. The 4 bed house was well equiped for a large family. The establishment is set on a stud farm - so quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. set about 22 kms from Nottingham Road.

The Lodge was amazing. The food, breakfast and dinner was fantastic. I would highly recommend you stay in for the dinner. We used the golf facility as well and I must say it was the best 9 hole golf course I've ever played.

Host CJ is friendly and gladly shares his vast knowledge of his property's fascinating history. The view of Sounds in Silence is gorgeous and the aura peaceful. The bedroom we stayed in was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The private bathroom is spacious and spotless. My daughter and I loved our short stay, as did our spaniel.
