Blackheath town centre is a 5-minute drive away. This place truly is a hidden gem. We didn't make it in time for reception hours, but when I called the staff member was very warm, friendly and accommodating. She explained the check in process in detail (which was very easy). The accommodation is so homely. They leave a complimentary packet of marshmallows to use in the communal fire pit, there are free laundry services, a heated indoor pool, a games room and beautifully manicured gardens and open grassed areas. Native wildlife was abundant and it's hidden in a quiet location that is super easy to find. Definitely worth the stay and I wish we could have stayed longer.

The cottage was fully stocked with every piece of cooking equipment we needed. I could tell that Kirsty had thought about everything to make her guest's stay comfortable and pleasant. It had everything we needed and was excatly what we were looking for in our city escape. Rosie, their golden retriever, guided us around the property on our morning walk! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the location was serene and the cabin was just like the pictures. Marjory provided excellent hospitality, supplying us with breakfast including croissants and blueberry muffins, as well as a bottle of sparkling wine.
