We enjoyed our stay very much. We chose a place to stay further away from the city center, looking for a remote and quiet place away from the tourist crowds, but with the convenience of good service and a restaurant. The host is an awesome guy who cares a lot about his customers, and his little dog, Onni, is a real sweetheart. The place is like old time Lapland accomodation. The atmosphere is very calming, silent and homelike. Food is exceptional here and local products are used to prepare them. We got to also witness the Auroras with a small surprize from our host. Amazing little chalet in the middle of nature. The bedroom straight under the glass roof was absolute fantastic, and created a great cozy little hideaway.

Everything was just perfect! Great quiet location to escape the noisy town. The cabin is very cozy, feels like a home atmosphere . Highly recommend!

I had wanted to book Saivaara Cottages a couple of years ago during the Covid nonsense over New Year, but someone obviously booked before I managed to arrange the flights; and whoever booked was unbelievably lucky, because the place is simply fantastic - and we got to enjoy it for 8 days this year before Christmas. Simply put, Saivaara Cottages are wonderful - the accommodation, the owners, the location - everything about the place is superb; and we will be coming again. We have stayed elsewhere in Kilpisjarvi before, but Saivaara Cottages was most definitely worth the wait. Hopefully Saivaara Cottages will have space for us net time.

Apartment was fantastic. It was rustic but modern. It was very clean and everything felt new. The location was superb. It felt like you were in a winter wonderland but also so close the the village and slopes.
