This holiday home also has a balcony that doubles up as an outdoor dining area. The accommodation is non-smoking. The location of the homestay is the best attraction. The beach is really right infront of the homestay and we can see the beach from the veranda of the homestay. In the morning, we practically have the beach to ourselves. During the night, we experienced a few blackouts. I think this is not the owner's fault. However, the owner provided us with portable solar lamp for our use in the house, which helped a lot. We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay and hoped we can come back another time.

Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

The wind from the sea is chilling, and you can enjoy the night enjoying the breeze while barbecuing and having some drinks.

Accessible only via a 600-step staircase, the property is located adjacent to the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve. Guests will have access to some of Sabah's most unique wildlife. Boat cruises and jungle-trekking activities are included in every stay. What an amazing place! Yes, you need a level of fitness that will get you up and down 600 stairs multiple times but it's worth it. Only 4 rooms, so it's private. Rooms are functional, thoughful and clean. Food was fantastic (the reviews about the amazing banana pancakes are correct). Opt to do the additional morning boat ride if you can, it's totally worth it and beautiful on the river in the mornings. Since there are a maximum of 8 guests, the boat is a lot roomier than the other boats you see from larger lodges. Each trip is 2 hours (walk from the lodge to the boat about 12 mins each way). If you can't live without the internet, get a local eSIM before you come. You get signal in the dining area. Ryan was a great guide. We saw an orangutan as we arrived at the lodge, lots of proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, macaques (pigtail and long tail) along the river. Heaps of birdlife. I can't say enough about Jason. He started the lodge from nothing over 20 years ago. His passion for the area is inspiring. We had some great conversations during the transfer and at the lodge. I required urgent medical attention at the end of our stay and Jason was outsanding in his care for me. He is one of a kind and enough of a reason to stay here.

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. We stayed at this lodge for one night. It's very nice and comfortable lodge especially the room with balcony. It's beyond my expectations. Very clean and tidy room. The toilet is also very clean, shower and heater works properly and great. The view from this lodge is very amazing although mount Kinabalu is not at our side but the view is still very nice and amazing. Overall, Bayu Senja Lodge ( especially the room with balcony ) is very nice, good and comfortable to stay. The management should build more room like this in the future. Once the lodge canteen starts operating, the lodge has become much better place to choose for staying.

We saw local money, birds, proboscis money, orangutan …Dingkai is a very good chef and the food is delicious, Khai is a knowledgeable guide and he can always find the animals and birds quickly, Na-in is a good captain as we met a heavy rain at morning cruise.Grace always makes everything comfortable.Good transport arrangement.

I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.
