The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful location with its own private beach, offering the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. Every meal was exceptional—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. Our fist meal the evening we arrived was grilled stuffed King Prawns!! One unforgettable detail: while dining, we watched black-tip reef sharks and moray eels gliding beneath us in the water, It was like dining in an aquarium. The staff went above and beyond. When my wife wasn’t feeling well, they brought her meals to her in bed and even made her a soothing homemade ginger tea. Their kindness and attention made all the difference. Special thanks to Bridget, the owner, who was always around and ready to help with anything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel truly at home. As for the diving—absolutely world class. We experienced so many unforgettable moments, including a giant manta ray that hovered above us—a true bucket list moment! Even snorkeling just off the beach was incredible. We genuinely loved everything about our stay. If you're looking for unspoiled beauty, amazing marine life, top-notch service, and unforgettable diving, Tabari Dive Lodge is the place to go. We’re already planning our return! We stayed at the Swiss Belhotel before and after Tabari, it's a perfect transit hotel, clean and convenient. Continental and Asian breakfast options are available at the lodge. This was one of our favourite places to stay anywhere! There were so many reasons why: 1. Rashid and Eka, the owners, were amazing hosts. We quickly felt like we were part of the family. Rashid is passionate about Raja Ampat's underwater life and took us on amazing tours. We saw such incredible sights. 2. The bungalows are located on a spectacular reef. You can see so much by snorkelling directly from your bungalow steps. 3. The staff were wonderful! (And great karaoke singers!) 4. There are only three bungalows so far and all the guests eat together for lunch and dinner. We got to know wonderful people from around the world. 5. We spent a week here and a week at a much more expensive resort and this one came out tops for value by far. 6. A village is nearby which was really interesting to visit. 7. Note that the location near mangroves is a positive. We experienced no significant insect issues here and the mangroves harboured amazing fish life.

The house reef is astonishing, and snorkling just outside your porch is sublime. An Italian, Asian or vegetarian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. The location is really exceptional, it's basically like being in paradise, you just have to walk a little bit to get into the water. Other thing to note is the porch of the bungalows with two hammocks where we spent many hours. We also really liked the dining area, which was very close to the bungalows and right in front of the beach. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.

Great beach getaway atmosphere and good food. Friendly helpful staff, onsite dive shop and reasonable prices for equipment rental. Reliable speedboat transfer back to ferry terminal in Waisai.
