Matt is a very kind host who waited on site for us to arrive, and to personally welcome us and show us how unlock the garage. He even baked an entire sourdough bun for us as a welcome gift, which was very sweet and pleasant surprise. The house was huge and comfortable, and well stocked with coffee beans, a coffee grinder, a French press, green tea leaves, hot chocolate powder mix, and the hosts even left a bottle of apple juice, water and milk for us to enjoy. Very thoughtful indeed, we felt like we were putting up at an old friend's home! The lodge manifested my long time dream of staying in a cozy cabin in the woods.

The staff are all awesome and they care deeply about the Forest Lodge and their guest experience! The rooms are wonderful, the common areas are super comfortable, with an updated but traditional feel. Beautiful drying room and tuning area in the basement, and everyone is there to ski/ride so you'll get solid tips. They're happy to give you a lift to/from the resort if you don't have a car. The view from the private onsen was really wonderful. Recommended in Myoko!

The house and staff was awesome, they were very helpful with everything we needed. It was epic to have the shuttles from the staff around town to go to dinner or go snowboarding or anything else we needed. Breakfast in the morning sharp at 7:30 got our day started right! Legend inn was the best, would happily stay here again!

The family that runs the hotel and restaurant are the kindest, most helpful people we have ever met. We were constantly greeted by smiles, asked if we needed help, and our kids were even given gifts when we left.

Geoff and Tania ensured that we were well taken care of throughout the stay! They tried their best to pick us up from the train station even though there was a heavy snowfall on the night we arrived. All staffs were kind and friendly. Others who lived at the lodge were also very nice and sociable. I’m really glad to meet new friends from different parts of the world. Started the day with breakfast prepared by the team, then went snowboarding — ask Geoff to recommend ski areas if you’re unsure! Get into the onsen after a whole day of snow then head out to the village (about 7min walk) for dinner after — similarly, if you’re unsure where to eat, ask! Hang out at the common area to chill, chat, watch a movie, play games with affordable beers etc! Maximise your time here if you can! We were really sad to leave and wanted to stay an extra day.. ): till next time!
