Offering a tranquil garden setting, Ololo Safari Lodge & Farm is nestled at the Mbagathi River bordering the famous Nairobi National Park. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful lodge. In fact, I would make sure to have an extra night or two at the beginning of a safari trip so that we could have a couple of nights at Ololo. We loved our room in the old stables-the bed and pillows were especially comfortable! The staff are wonderful and did everything they could to ensure our comfort. Meals were top notch and house wines and spirits were more than adequate. We took advantage of the morning and evening game drives and were thrilled to see such a variety of animals in a relatively small game park! We also really enjoyed our visit to Sheldrick Trust to see the work that they are doing to support orphaned elephants. Magical! Lastly the pickup and drop-off service makes navigating the airport and Nairobi a breeze.

The cottage is very cosy, clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the beautiful garden. The location is very safe, and it was perfect since I attended a conference within a 10 min walking distance. Liz and her family are fantastic hosts; I even got sick during my time there, and Liz helped me a lot by taking me to the hospital and checking on me. They are very kind and make you feel at home.

The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained, and the location is perfect backing right onto Nairobi National Park. The views are stunning and you can regularly see animals roaming the park. The service was also amazing - Ann looked after our every need (including laundry) and was so lovely. The chef was fantastic and cooked meals to our liking every evening, and Bernard drove us everywhere we needed to go and made sure we had the best experiences. Communication to organise this was also very easy. Overall we would highly highly recommend!! We had a perfect stay and we cannot wait to come back one day.
